Under the Bridge
Kenyatta aka Kenn Will is a rapper, songwriter, DJ and beatmaker from Pittsburgh, PA. Kenyatta started Swagger Boy Productions in 2005 while releasing several self-produced Mixtapes, such as Pittsburgh International and Air Born (Born Fly) .
Kenyatta started recording and producing music at the age of twelve, with several locally released mixtapes. In 1997, Kenyatta formed the group Don Breed with his partner in rhyme Mello MAC. Since then, they have released several group and solo projects in Pittsburgh, Florida and Atlanta. Years later, Kenyatta opened The Demo Shoppe; a one stop shop for any recording artist in need of audio recording, CD duplication, Graphic Design and video production. After Mello returned from Atlanta, Kenyatta joined forces with him once again to operate the Demo Shoppe as they traveled from coast to coast working and networking.
In 2011, Kenyatta decided to try managing artist, gaining Fresco Savant and Mello MAC as clients. Surprisingly enough, his first gig happened to be an huge event! With 13,000 fans at a Pittsburgh Power Football game, Kenyatta landed Mello MAC, DJ Red, Nesia Beats and himself a half-time performance that created a buzz for weeks on and offline.
DJ Venym was born and raised in Pittsburgh's North Side. He was part of a local music rap group known as Smoove Phunk Crew which never was able to get the promotion and recognition the group had hoped and worked for during their early college years.
DJ Venym was captured by the nightlife and began what he calls "shadowtablin" various different DJ's in some of Pittsburgh's nightclubs and bars. Benny Rock, and DJ Erupt were his first initial names that were created by some friends and his first mentor also from Pittsburgh's North Side, DJ Endless who now owns a popular bar in Pittsburgh's Southside. After many years of spinning music at weddings, parties, and other private events, he adopted the name DJ Venym. Recently DJ Venym is still mixing up the old school and new school music for any crowd he's in front of. His cousin Kenyatta has asked him to be a partner/consultant with Swagger Boy Productions recently who is the owner/founder and chief music producer of the company. DJ Venym knows his cousin is just as passionate about music as he is confident that they both have some powerful ideas to bring old and new music styles together on multiple streams.
